Bio: Matt Hamer

Matt Hamer is the founder of Attribyte, LLC. He has been developing commercial software for eighteen years and web-based applications for twelve.

Before creating Attribyte, he served as developer and project manager for the now retired Kinja weblog aggregator.

Along with Evan Williams, Meg Hourihan, Paul Bausch, Matt Haughey, "B" designer Derek Powazek and Jack Saturn, he is one of the original developers of Blogger, created by Pyra and now owned by Google.

At Innovision Corporation, Matt was a designer and project manager for the development of one of the first widely deployed commercial OFX servers and many of Innovision's XML-related software tools and server products. While at Innovision, he developed one of the first RSS aggregators, weavelet.com, demonstrated at the 1999 JavaOne conference.

After receiving a MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska, Matt began his career developing power plant simulation and performance monitoring software at Black and Veatch.
